Motogadget mo.can OBD, 4003000

The mo.can OBD is a digital adapter for easy connection of our instruments directly to the diagnostic interface of a Harley-Davidson™ from 2004. Plug & Drive, it could hardly be easier. A tiny box eliminates the need to install sensors for speed or RPM. Every Harley Davidson™ from 2004 onwards* has this interface as a 3-pin connector on the vehicle. With the help of the mo.can OBD digital adapter, which is simply plugged into this connector, motogadget instruments can directly read out speed, RPM and MIL (engine warning light) from the vehicle data bus.A power supply via the OBD interface is also possible. This allows e.g. the operation of a 'motoscope mini' without further connection work on the motorcycle. The instrument is simply connected to the mo.can OBD. All compatibility problems between instruments and original speed sensors, especially on H-D models from 2007 onwards, are thus solved. Also the signal for the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) for error messages on engine and peripherals is read out and can be displayed when a LED/warning lamp is connected. This allows a complete removal of the original instruments**.The mo.can OBD consists only of a tiny, fully potted box, a 4-pin OBD connector and a sufficiently long connection cable. It is resistant to vibration and weather conditions. Its function is guaranteed down to below 5V on-board voltage and thus complies with all SAE specifications for motorcycles.* Can NOT be used on H-D Softtail from model year 2011, Dyna from model year 2012, XL from model year 2014, and all other models with HD-LAN. Only for bus system SAE J1850.** On certain models such as V-ROD, removing the original speedometer may cause problems with the ECU / immobilizer. Please check with your local dealer or test this before rebuilding e.g. by disconnecting the original speedometer. Possibly the immobilizer must be deactivated.
